About

Views from the Coop was originally the name of a 5 minute podcast I created during the original Podcasting for Busy Entrepreneurs online class presented by Penny Haynes of 1st Podcast Publishing. As co-host of PC Primer with Roger Creighton, a local radio show for computer newbies, I was interested in expanding the audience and podcasting seemed to be the logical step to take to introduce the show to a broader audience. Roger and I shared tips and how-to information with our local audience and I believed that information would benefit PC users outside our listening area. As I became more interested in podcasting, I left PC Primer and started recording a weekly podcast with Roger’s daughter, Kristi. That podcast became Views from the Coop. Kristi has since moved on to other endeavors but I have continued the podcast with a little (well, in some cases A LOT OF) help from my friends.

The Blog Queen logoForemost in the Virtual Coop is my friend, colleague and sponsor Kim Beasley. Kim originally joined the Coop Crew in July of 2007 as a guest co-host. Our topic was blogging and there’s nobody better with whom to discuss blogging tips, tricks and news than The Blog Queen and Wonder Woman of the Blog World herself. We had so much fun and blended together so well that Kim offered to not only become the official sponsor for Views from the Coop but to expand the usual tekkie topics into the business world. Previously, I’d been focusing primarily on tech topics of interest to the general public. With the addition of Kim, Views from the Coop will be also be featuring professionals who use technology in business situations.

Views from the Coop is a proud member of the Tech Podcast Network.
