Kim and I continued our discussion about starting a business in our recessional economy. In this show, Kim shared some of her personal experiences in starting a business and shared some tips for others who are thinking about leaving corporate America behind:

• Don’t wait! Do it NOW!
• Choose the right business partner if you’re not going to do it alone.
• Make sure your passion is backed up by good ideas!
• Have a business plan. Take advantage of free and inexpensive business services to help you create one.
• Take off those rose-colored glasses…
• Be frugal
• Research, research, research
• Keep your eye on VALUE
• Just because the economy is in recession doesn’t mean your business has to be in recession, too!
• Kim’s most important tip: Don’t underestimate the importance of … yep, ya gotta listen to the podcast to get it!
• Avoid these mistakes … LISTEN TO KIM!
