Part 1:

I can’t think of a better guest to have on-hand for our first show in 2008 than George. He’s an alumni of Views from the Coop and it was great to have him back. Kim, George and I tossed around some of the more memorable happenings for us during 2007.For those of you who aren’t familiar with The One Minute How-To podcast, it’s exactly what the name implies. George challenges anyone to record, in 60 seconds, how to do something….anything. As someone who has taken the challenge on several occasions, I can tell you that it ain’t easy.

In 2007, George saw quite a few geeky minutes. That’s not to say the folks who recorded them were geeky. It’s just that the subject matter was more on the tekkie side. Another popular subject in 2007 was writing. I couldn’t help but notice that Stephen Hawking appeared twice on the list George sent. No, Stephen Hawking didn’t submit his own how-to. It seems a couple of guys like the sound of Stephen Hawking’s voice and shared how-to make your Mac (Show #141) AND how to make your podcast sound like him (Show #165). I strongly recommend that you visit The One Minute How-To podcast website and take the challenge yourself. Hey, nobody’s submitted how-to make their PC sound like Stephen Hawking yet…

One of Kim’s biggest highlights of the year came in December when she was introduced to Alex Mandossian’s Teleseminar Secrets seminar. Luckily for me, she’s been sharing her experience and I have to tell you, it’s some pretty powerful stuff! I summed up my own 2007 highlights with a word list: Vista, Wordpress, Blog Talk Radio, Having Kim as my co-host, YouSendIt and learning to play the bass guitar.

Don’t stop with Part 1! Listen to Part 2 for our predictions for 2008 and find out how you can enter to win some cool stuff from Apple when you help Paul Muller, a fellow member of the Tech Podcasts Network and host of the CaffiNation podcast celebrate 2 years in podcasting (January 9) and his 200th show (January 20).Hey, all that and a great theme song specially for George’s visit: How to Talk to Girls by 9-Iron!
