Views from the Coop welcomes Kim Bloomer of Aspenbloom Pet Care
August 29, 2007
If you’ve been a listener for any length of time, you’ll remember Kim Bloomer from previous podcasts. Kim is also a podcaster and co-hosts Animal Talk Naturally with Jeannie Thomason. Kim and Jeannie have also taken ATN to Blog Talk Radio with a show called ATN Gone Wild! I’ll have more news on Blog Talk Radio soon and let you in on some plans I have with my friend and colleague, Dr. Kathy King, of Transformation Education LLC.
Kim’s been a passionate (and I do mean passionate) advocate for humane treatment and natural healthcare for pets for as long as I’ve known her. She and her husband share their home with Shadrach, a beautiful Neo Mastiff. As a matter of fact, Shadrach’s no slouch when it comes to technology. He’s been blogging for Kim for quite some time.
Since VFTC is a technology podcast, I’ve asked Kim to join me and discuss microchipping pets. My neighbor, David, has four dogs that all carry microchips in their ears. The chips contain embedded information about where the dogs live and who owns them so that they can be reunited with David if they happen to get lost and find their way to a clinic or humane shelter that has a scanner. We’ll be talking about the pros and cons of microchipping you’re pet so if you’re a pet owner, you don’t want to miss out this coming Friday, August 31, at 10:00am CDT. We’ll be having our discussion via Free Conference Call. If you have a landline, cellphone or VoIP (I use Skype for the calls I make with Free Conference Call) you can dial-in and join the fun. Just drop me a note and I’ll send you the access information.
BTW: Kim has been know to enhance her podcasts with song and you can bet we’ll have a special chicken song ready for your listening pleasure…..REALLY!
