First of all, I’d like to apologize for the sound quality of my voice on the podcast. I don’t know if I had my mic volume up too high in the Virtual Coop or if there was some kind of interference during the recording but there are some pretty annoying noises that accompany some of my words…almost like a zzzzzzzzt…and since I’m definitely NOT a professional audio editor, I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it. Fortunately, I’m not the one who does most of the talking. That honor goes to our VERY interesting guest, George Smyth (rhymes with myth), the driving force behind The One Minute How To and Eclectic Mix podcasts. I had the pleasure of meeting George for the first time when I recorded some One Minute How To audio files
- How to Tell if Your Kitten is Deaf (my beautiful white kitty, Powerfinger, is)
- How to Print Out Your Browser’s Bookmarks
for a couple of his podcast episodes. Believe me, it’s definitely a challenge to tell somebody how to do something in 60 seconds or less! As a matter of fact, that’s pretty much how George came up with the idea. He found himself having to explain what he did with Eclectic Mix and when he started seeing eyes glaze over, he decided he’d have to come up with a quicker explanation.
If you can get past my own audio disturbances, you’ll enjoy hearing George discuss his various podcast experiences with both One Minute How To and Eclectic Mix. Go ahead, take a chance and listen to the podcast!
