Hey, thanks for the tip! I was thinking about installing XP virtually just so I could change my printer cartridges from my computer instead of connecting the printer to Mom's!

Same problem. If you open the door, just to the left of the toner cartridge slot, there is a circular plunger just inside a rectangular hole. That is the toner carousel release. If it pushed in about 1/4 of a inch, you can spin the carousel and pull out the empty cartridge. It may be a bit stiff to start with.
It's pretty poor that with all this software and electronics, we have to revert to a mechanical solution.

I keep checking back with Konica-Minolta to see if they've developed an update for my printer that allows it to work with Vista. Nothing yet....I have been thinking of installing XP virtually on my Vista PC. Yeah, I never could get that "rotate manually" thing down either, Ken. That's really too bad...the printer's great!

This is the same issue I have--except (unlike you) I don't have an XP machine to rely on! This is REALLY annoying, becuase the printer works fine. And not much help from phone support on this one; they gave me instructions to rotate the carousel manually (or so I thought), but I can't get anything to work so far as rotating it manually is concerned. An email to tech support went unanswered. Makes me not want to bother with a Konica Minolta again in the future!
